Feels Like a Mack Truck!

Well, as many of you know we were in a car accident on Wednesday. I was driving and my sister and both kids were in the car. We were on 5th west in Brigham right by the high school. I was on my way home to get changed into my scrubs for work. Then a 16 year old girl ran the stop sign going about 40 and t boned us. Thankfully no one (especially my babies) was seriously hurt, which I know was an act of God. However, they strapped everyone in my van down to backboards and took us the ER. The kids in the car were fine. My husband arrived later in his usual dramatic panic. I told the ER nurse that perhaps HE needed a shot of ativan...hmmm. Anyway, we are all really sore. I can't turn my head, lift my right arm, or take deep breaths without shooting pain, but I am a mom, so I will just continue on because Caroline's birthday party is tomorrow and I better get to work!

Our van looks pretty bad. We haven't gotten the exact estimate yet, but consdering that the entire front end is basically missing, the doors won't open, and there was lots of fluid at the scene, I am guessing it is totalled...and I sure hope so, I wouldn't want them to try and "repair" that mess, we would have problems for years down the road. Most of you know that I am quite an assertive person, so the insurance company won't be able to play games with me. :) I feel miserable and feel like we were hit by a Mack truck and not a Mazda!
